Quinn L Bishop- Founder and Lead Guide

Originally from East Tennessee, Quinn L Bishop moved to New Orleans to work as an undercover union organizer in 2015. After getting on stage as a drag and burlesque performer, she started working as a tour guide just to pay the bills. Upon researching the history of the city, she discovered that New Orleans is one of the unsung centers of queer history and became passionate about sharing the stories.

She has grown from a tour guide to a multifaceted history educator, teaching herself film techniques and editing to create a dynamic online content brand that has accrued nearly 50K followers across multiple platforms.

She has written two plays Dixie’s Holiday Bar, a fictionalized account of the life of Miss Dixie, a major New Orleans queer icon, and an adaption of The Bacchae by Euripides. After years of encouragement, she has also finally written a first book The Chalice Full of Blood, a brief treatment investing two “city mysteries” and their claims of Lesbian Ladies living in New Orleans in the 1850s. 

Her work has earned her a spot on the 40 Under 40 list by Gambit and she was honored by the Gay Appreciation Awards as Lesbian of the Year in 2026, regardless of her imposter syndrome about that. 

Outside of her work, she enjoys dancing to pop music , reading, cooking, and worrying she isn’t doing enough work.
