Quinn Bishop is a historian, writer, filmaker, speaker, performer, and occasional tarot reader based in New Orleans Lousiana.

Originally from the Appalachian Mountains, the greatest place in the entire United States to be raised as a trans woman,  she relocated to New Orleans in 2015 so that she could be less accepted and finally experience some adversity in life. After working for several years with nonprofits and unions as an organizer in multiple movements, she decided to pick up performing and fell in love with Drag and Burlesque.

While performing in drag and successfully producing several highly successful shows, including a regular political comedy themed show called Extra! A Political Drag Cabaret and a sold out one woman show called It’s Fine She decided to lean into her lifelong love of queer and feminist history by starting Nola Drag Tours in 2019, the first drag queen led walking tour in New Orleans.

The tour was a huge success and was featured in the Huffington Post and earned nearly 600 five star reviews. After working out in the street for a year, she realized the she was enjoying the drag a bit too much and that something about her everyday life was deeply off. So she transitioned, finding a joy that had been missing all along.

After deeply connecting with herself in this new way, the drag became a bit ridiculous and with new found confidence, she decided to restructure the business around her talent and knowledge and left the drag behind.

Now, she has begun focusing on new adventures, including writing a book, creating queer history tiktok content, a podcast which is set to launch on the website in October, and a new set of performance based events which can all be found on her event page. The tour however, is still going strong with the same great information that brought her here.

When she isn’t sharing history and entertaining, she enjoys knitting, gardening, befriending crows at the local parks, reading tarot, spending time in nature, and dancing.
